Hunter Leveling - A Guide To Leveling a Hunter in WoW

Leveling a Hunter in WOW is pretty much, without a doubt the easiest class to level once you hit level 10. You'll start off with just a one hander and Bow or Gun (depending on your race choice). You kill relatively the same speed as other classes at first, that is until level 10 when you get a Pet which dramatically increases your leveling speed and pretty much eliminates having to stop to drink or eat which makes leveling faster than most classes. Once you get your pet at level 10 it becomes your "tank" meaning, it will take the majority of the damage from NPC's (Non-player Characters) while leveling. So, what is the best spec to level? Without question Beast Mastery will make leveling quick and painless. You might be wondering, what's wrong with Marksmanship? The problem with leveling as Markmanship is you will do too much Damage which will draw the NPC's to attack you instead of your pet. The other choice, survival doesn't give you the boost in DPS you need to level quickly while letting you pet take the damage. Beast Mastery will let your pet take the damage AND dish out a lot of damage itself. If you've ever been in PVP as a cloth wearer and had a hunter who was Beast Spec attack you, literally the pet could kill you if you didn't get a chance to fight back against the hunter himself. The one thing to mention is, if your pet alone kills something you won't get XP, you need to at least hit the target once. So if you're pet grabs a few NPC's and you are attacking just one, you might end up not getting XP from one of the others if your pet kills it first.
